Hi. It’s been a while.

The last iteration of Trailer Park of Emotion mostly contained my vulgar rant-reviews of the Laurell K Hamilton Merry Gentry series. After reading three of those books and then writing about them, I found myself dreading the next one EVEN THOUGH the 4th book in the series is where it went completely off the rails. I just couldn’t do it anymore.

So I took a break. Traveled. Got engaged. Went back to school. Got a 2nd job at a bookstore. Got married. Adopted a 3rd cat. Traveled some more. And finally, I realized I missed writing for fun (I’m a technical writer by day, so while, yes, I get paid to spend my days writing, it’s hardly fun work).

This is Boots McGoots. He’s real dumb. 

My good friend Sarah also missed writing, and after much discussion, we decided to get the Trailer Park of Emotion blog back in action. Our intent is to fill the blog with our various musings on the books we’re reading (I still read a ton of terrible fiction), our fiction writings, current news or pop culture events, or really anything that comes to mind. I plan to post on a yet to be determined schedule, but until I get the swing of things, this will be a very much under construction site.

Anyway, I’m very glad to be back writing something other than APIs and workflow guides.
